Your interest surprises me...

I am an Illinois native currently studying Television in the great city of Boston. I have several years of webdesign experience behind me, having started in 1997.

Most of my web creations have been driven by my other obsessions. One of those many obsessions is music. My very first website was created in honor of the British pop group known as the Spice Girls. I maintained that site very successfully for a year and a half before I closed it in June of 1999. In that time it recieved numerous awards and over 250,000 visitors. My most recent music obsession revolves around that funny brand of pop/country and specifically, Shania Twain. While I no longer maintain the site, my old tribute to her, Forever Shania is still online. My other favorite artists/bands to listen to at the moment include Dixie Chicks, Tori Amos, and whatever strikes my mood at the moment.

The second driving force behind my designs is science fiction... and later fantasy, especially Star Trek. I am a self-professed Deep Space Nine junkie. This, obviously, is where my online moniker of "Jadzia" stems from. Once upon a time, I maintained a site about my favorite Trek character of all time - Remembering Jadzia. This too is still online.

Sci-fi and fantasy also inspires me to do other things. Since I took up role-playing games, I've found myself creating a great deal of character art. Specifically, I draw my disfuctional trio of sisters from Gemstone III. One of my other occasion passtimes is writing science fiction. Although my favorite science fiction author is none other than Douglas Adams, I usually write what could be described as Space Opera. I work slowly and sporatically, but I imagine within the next century I should finish my epic...

Finally, I ride horses, I occasionally participate in medieval/renaissance reinactments, I think rats make wonderful pets, and my favorite breakfast cereal is Lucky Charms.
