About the Elanthian Rose

The purpose of the Elanthian Rose Workshop is to provide a safe, welcoming, and non-competitive enviroment in which performers of all styles and skill levels may come together to perform, to observe other performers, and to give and receive feedback.

The primary tenant of the Elanthian Rose is that all performers and performances are equally valid-- some may currently have more experience than others, but all are on equal footing in potential and in love of performing. Because of this, the Elanthian Rose is strictly noncompetitive-- under no circumstances will workshop members find themselves competing against one another in a workshop-related event. The goal is to compete against oneself in order to see how far one may improve.

We meet every Restday (Sunday) evening at 4:30 EST at the gates of House Aspis in Wehnimer's Landing. In order to find the House, cross the bridge to the east side of the city, travel as far east as you can, go a bit south, and go a bit east. Should you arrive a bit late, you may find a familiar watching the gate; please tell the familiar that you are there for the workshop. Should you arrive more than fifteen minutes late, the familiar will probably not be present, but you may be able to reach someone to let you inside through thinking over the amulet or through the thoughts of Voln.

The Elanthian Rose was founded by Tanager Skydancing in Eoantos (November) of 5101. It exists with the sponsorship and support of the House of the Argent Aspis. The first workshop took place on Eoantos 15, 5101, and it was attended by seven people; since that time, the workshop has grown, but the spirit remains the same. Anyone with a love of performance is free to join our ranks.
